## Season by season<br> - October–March (best): Pleasant, dry days; cool desert nights. Book palace hotels early for December–January.<br> - April–June: Very hot (often 40°C+), but excellent for tiger safaris in Ranthambore and much quieter at the sights.<br> - July–September: The monsoon brings some rain and greenery; humidity rises but crowds thin.
## Festivals to plan around<br> Rajasthan's calendar is full of colour — the Pushkar Camel Fair (November), the Jaipur Literature Festival (January), Holi (March) and the Desert Festival in Jaisalmer (February).
